Ingredients :
1. 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
2. 1/2 cup cucumber peeled and chopped
3. 1/2 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
4. 1/2 cup mango chunks (fresh or frozen)
5. 2 tablespoons fresh Aloe Vera gel (from an Aloe Vera leaf)
6. 1 tablespoon chia seeds
7. 1 cup coconut water (or water)
8. Juice of 1/2 lime
9. A few fresh mint leaves, optional.
Instructions :
Prepare the Aloe Vera :
If you have an Aloe Vera leaf cut a small section and carefully peel off the skin to extract the clear gel inside. Be sure to remove any yellowish latex as it can be irritating to the skin and digestive system.
Blend Ingredients:
Add fresh spinach leaves, cucumber, pineapple, mango chunks, Aloe Vera,chia seeds, coconut water and lime juice to a blender.
Blend until Smooth :
Blend on a high speed until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the smoothie is smooth. If the mixture is too thick add more coconut water or regular
water as needed to reach your desired consistency.
Serve :
Pour the smoothie into a glass. You can garnish it with a few fresh mint leaves if desired.
